Announcements / February Imm Quest - the 18th at 8PM server time

Are you all getting into training for the quest??
Got your support systems in place?  Maps dug out of the closet?
Got your tennies/trainers on? 
 
This month's quest will be a hunting race - hunting for clues and then racing back to turn in your collection.
The grand prize is a rare bit and terribly scarce.
Second and third place finishers get to pick from my very weighty bag of prizes.  There should be something in there
to please every taste. 
Everyone who finishes will at least get some gold.
 
Fine print:  if you do anything to mess up the quest for others
you will be disqualified
If you give away information about the clues on public channels
you will be disqualified
Nothing says you can't help one another, BUT each participant
has to PICK UP their own clues.

This month's Imm Quest will begin on or about midnight (server time) Dec 23 going into the 24th.  It will last more or less a week, until Dec 31.

Announcements / August Imm Quest

This month's quest (August) will be Tharel Trivia.

In the early weeks of the month there will be easier questions and the pot will be 100 gold x number of participants, minimum 3 people.  If you see me on and want to play, just speak up.
The last weekend (detailed times to follow) if there is sufficient interest, I would like to run a "team trivia" competition.  You and a buddy or two on a team, harder questions - the sort you probably have to run around and find out, and a pot of 500 gold x number of teams, minimum 3 teams.

I'm hoping to be ready this weekend (Aug 6), but when the western expansion got wiped so did all the work done on this so i have to recreate and retest.

Announcements / July Quest

This will be a temple specific quest running for only 8 hours, starting Saturday, July 23, 4PM server time.
First prize will be an ultimate invocation for the temple.
Runner up temple will earn a minor invocation.
 
Get yourself and your templemates here for the event.  High ranking and high level members as well  as youngsters can help the cause. Shenannigans and friviolity anticipated.

Announcements / Timalia's March Imm Quest

This month's imm quest will run from March 21 - 31. Plan to be here every day.

The prize will be a unique certificate, the like of which have never been seen.  If it turns out you can't use it yourself, I have it on good authority that some folk will willingly pay extravagant sums for it. Please be aware though that only one certificate will be awarded to a character.

The Valentine Quest has begun!
 
Find the hidden candy. Locate the valentine quest mobs.
Interact with them. Each gives a hint as to the whereabouts
of another valentine quest mob. Collect the valentine tokens
in a bag and offer the bag to the mob wandering the Plains. 
The item you receive from this gnome will need to be handed
to Timalia personally any time in the week after the quest.
When you visit her you may want a large vessel on hand.
 
As usual, this should be do-able by fairly new folk if
they've been paying attention to their adventure's guide.
 
Objects involved are NOT intended to be collectable so
use them or loose them in short order.
 
Further, as this is rather like a scavenger hunt, folk publicly
passing on information or blurting out hints or answers on the
public channels will find themselves disqualified.

I am willing to run either Bludgeon or House of Cards off
and on the weekend of Jan 22.  I'll try to check on even
hours (Server time) when I'm avail and awake. If there's
enough interest, you can play. Minimum 3 player, but more
is definitely better.
 
For Cards, 100 Gold stakes and I'll double the pot
For Bludgeon, prize will be 100 gold * number of participants

Announcements / Talent contest today! 10 PM Server time

EVERYONE should show up to watch, cheer and vote. The Audience will be asked to participate in the awarding of
the ribbons for the contest.
Dress Code: If you have a tux, wear it.  Pants (or some leg covering) required.

GRAND PRIZE IN TALENT CONTEST: GODSTONE OF Choice!
In addition, arrangements to endow the stone on a weapon or light which winner provides will be offered.
 

For the talent portion:
you may have a maximum of 4 emotes/emsays/says/commands etc in which to display your particular talent.
Talent should be rated PG, but otherwise, points for creativity and being descriptively detailed so that audience and judges can appreciate your performance.

For the costume portion:
This is what you are wearing - your equipment. Simple restrings or regular restrings or items you've  taken from mobs or purchased in shops.  This is NOT your description.

For the questions and answers:  I suspect we'll all be ad libbing here.

   Fishing contest ends
   between now and then, save your biggest freshwater
   and biggest saltwater catch. Note immortal on board 4
   by midnight June 26.  If you're the winner, you'll have
   to be able to hand over the catch  500 GOLD

July 10
   Tour de Tharel Marathon
   Two heats:  11AM and 11PM Server time
   It'll help if you're familiar with the "Roads" at least

Aug 14 (tentative)
    Talent show, three categories
    - talent - up to 4 emotes
    - impromptu answers to judges questions
    - costume (equipment, not description)
       (hint: and you thought those simple restrings were supurfluous!)
       (re-strings are NOT required, but will be looking for something
       appropriate to your character or "interesting")

Hear ye! Hear ye!
There is a tourney declared and all are invited to enter the lists!
PRIZES to be won! Honor earned! Glory given!
Damsels and lads, Knights, squires, citizens and lords,
Enter thy name in ye lists, ...
 
[OOC] Bludgeon Tourney Saturday at 4PM and 9PM server time
I'm hoping there is enough interest so folk can form
teams, otherwise we can do independent contestants.

I think that makes it 7AM or Noon Sunday in Australia and
10PM Saturday and 3AM Sunday in Europe
 
The more folk the larger the pot:
Pot to consist of 500 gold (provided by Imm) per participant.
Division will be (close as I can compute) divided among
participants, with double to the winning team/individual.
You may choose to take your winnings in GOLD or in QUEST POINTS
 
There can be up to FOUR teams, and as many as you like on a team,
so start talking it up among your temple/clan/friends ...

If you are well organized, note me with your team members ahead of time
 
Also, if you haven't played before, please read "HELP BLUDGEON"
You will have to supply your own hammer (the sort for wedges, not a weapon)

some holiday quests!
 
In preparation for this exciting event, you might want to
be shopping for or digging out of storage (or stealing,
if that is your bent) a BASKET, in which to collect the
holiday treasures
 
who knows what will fall from the skies!  Marshmallow chicks?
Chocolate bunnies? Faberge eggs? Pink and purple polka-dotted
