Basic goals: Teach the land of Tharel to respect magic and the users of magic as the supreme powers in the land via any means necessary. Retrieve the Rod, and rid the land of any who oppose Sainos' insane ways.
Alliances: Any who aid in the destruction of the enemies of Sainos, and even then only temporarily.
Enemies: Any forces who work to maintain order and stability in Tharel. ex. Crifus, Vallien, Barbades, or Cylad.
Indifferences: Any God who represents neither a thirst for power nor a need for stability.
Rules: The followers of Sainos are required to be strongly magical. If any warrior or thief should wish entry, they should be prepared to hold up shields, form human barricades to protect the magic-users, and fetch them drinks of water. Any being who refuses to acknowledge the might of magic or of its users should be taught by the members of this sect without mercy. Killing could prove necessary if beings stand in the way of any follower of Sainos, and there should be no hesitation to blast them away as if they were a mere physical obstacle. Still, PKs should be noted and justification explained.
RP Aspects: In many ways, Sainos' followers should live by one principle: that power should be used for power's sake. The mighty should ignore those weaker and lesser than they, unless they pose a problem, in which case they are to be removed. Death of others is unimportant, as those who do not follow Sainos are clearly fools not to follow the path of power. To his followers, Sainos' chaotic nature ensures unpredictability. Random blessings or curses fall equally upon them, and their actions receive punishment or reward depending upon his fluctuation of mood. In any case, the followers of the Mad God have license to act as they see fit to advance their own power and control over all of Tharel.
Rank: Those higher in rank in the sect should be treated with the reverence and respect such a position deserves, and those that are lower in rank, looked upon as lesser beings who may be worthy of help from time to time. Any warrior who joins this sect is treated as a mere human shield no matter what his rank, while thieves who have control of some basic magics can, at the three highest levels, command the same respect as the mages and clerics. Ranking is indeed followed closely, but should give merely a semblance of structure to observers, as no follower of Sainos would ever agree that the sect is an orderly and free-of-strife entity. Power struggles for the highest positions in the temple are common.
Miscellaneous: Sainos thirsts for the Rod, the ultimate source of power ever created. Its retrieval and delivery to him would surely have dire consequences for the world.
