Basic Goals: Preventing unfairness and suffering before it happens, protecting the innocent and exploring the ways of white magic.
Respect: Crifus, for he wants to create a peaceful life for all beings in Tharel. Barbades, for he is generous and helps the innocent. Sylune, for she has the same goals, although she tries to attain them with might and main. Gedria, for she protects and teaches the innocent, and for her patience. Mahrina, for she is the goddess of good magic.
Tolerance: Markov, for he cares more for beautiful works than for the innocent. Mahrina, for she doesn’t like this world as it is. Cylad, for he doesn’t care about single fates but for the whole world itself. Mentmacro, for she doesn’t look beyond the borders of her woods. Asteri, for he is too unpredictable.
Distrust: Vallien, for he presumes to prejudge about good and evil. Vyrul, for injustice cannot be healed by more injustice. Ytrewtsu, for his only aim is to destroy the world. Jirah, for she is selfish and her help is crooked. Elbar, for the storm doesn’t distinguish between right and wrong Sainos, for he exploits the powers of dark magic. Kiradus, for he doesn’t care about anything but wealth.
Rules: The followers of Kiara’s temple are generous and help the innocent. Innocent are all people regardless of alignment and temple unless they have proven themselves as not trustworthy. Nevertheless, patience is a virtue, so people will always get another chance after some time has passed. Since Kiara’s favourite method is the use of white magic, paladins, clerics and mages are most encouraged but also monks and myrmidons are welcome. The usage of dark magic is strictly forbidden, so necromancers and antipaladins are not granted entrance to the temple. Warriors, thieves and charlatans may join but may be regarded with disrespect since their ways are dishonorable or violent.
Races that are regarded as dark or evil, such as duergar, orcs, goblins, river trolls and drow, have no place in this community. Dwarves are allowed to join but will most likely refuse because of their innate fear of water. People of all other races are highly welcomed to join as long as they follow the rules.
PK: Playerkilling is not forbidden for temple members but only rarely do the followers of Kiara initiate a fight. The members of this temple of water will initiate a fight to prevent great injustice from occurring or to prevent evil from gaining a strangle hold against the forces of good in the land (i.e. possession of the Rod, Days of Redemption). They will come to the the defense of any of their allies if the cause is just. The members of Kiara's temple may have other reasons for initiating player killing but those reasons must be included in their motivation profile and should concur with the guidelines and goals of this temple. Whenever possible, members of this temple will subdue their enemies rather than slay them in cold blood.
Restrictions: In most cases friends can be defended by protective usage of white magic. Insidious means of combat (i.e. backstab, circle, knock) should be avoided as well as usage of certain weapons (i.e. vampiric, unholy, evil, dark, poisoned). Stealing from other players is only allowed under special circumstances (see PK). Full looting will be severely punished. Looting for personal gain is only allowed to regain items that are restrung to you and also needs to be justified. Keep in mind though, that it is not allowed to initiate a fight for this purpose. Being taunted by other players also does not justify initiating combat. In this case stay calm and do not provoke your opponent further. Personal enemies shouldn’t be taunted but ignored. Fishing for fun is forbidden and may only be done to prevent you from starving. Houses and manors should be built near water, if possible.
Roleplaying: Rank doesn’t need to be observed most of the time but higher ranked temple members should be considered wiser and thus their advice should be regarded. Those of the rank of Rha’sion or higher have earned greatest respect because of their generosity and wisdom, and should be treated appropriately.
