Odds of Krow taxing heavily (or at all) are the odds of you being as awesome as I am *pgrins*

Seeing as how I'm more awesome than you, does that have such a positive effect on my chances that it's now negative?

Yea, i'd def go out for mayor again, i had alot of fun w/ that the players enjoyed having me as mayor (mainly cause i never taxed anyone) haha
What're the odds you'll tax heavily now, seeing as no-one will expect it?

Mmm.. having a Mayor (and sheriff) definetly was fun.. and the player base HAS been getting better, and i imagine after DoR it should be even better..

Indeed it was. That was the one thing I ased about when I came back "Who's the current Mayor?". I might have been laughed at like an idiot for asking that.
But still, I would definitely run for Mayor again. Gotta win it once out of all the times I've run...
4  IC Boards / IC - Taverns of Tharel / A new attempt at an old love on: August 22, 2011, 06:04:54 am
Archaeon sits at the bar, half a glass of wine in his hand and scraps of parchment covering the bartop. He sighs deeply, looking down at the scraps in front of him.
Suddenly he looks up, eyes filled with purpose, and starts scribbling on the closest scrap. the words flow from his mind onto the paper, and some of the bar as he goes over the edges.
As soon as the inspiration comes, it is gone. He looked over the collected ramblings and started to organise them onto a single sheet of parchment, his practiced eye reviewing his own work.

Tears From the Sky

When the Rain falls,
My thoughts of you come to view.
The rain reminds me of my tear drops,
Like heaven's crying too.
I miss the tender words you say,
That made my heart ring,
And took my breath away.
I feel your passion and love.
That helps me pull through,
I know we'll be together again one day,
I can feel it in my heart.

His eyes well up as he reads the words he has written. He almost screws the paper up, but decides against it at the last minute. He tucks the poem away in his pocket and polishes off his wine, heading out towards a happier day.

Archaeon took a long draft of his drink, savouring the burn as the liquid warmed his throat. The bard looked around the tavern room and drank in the sights, all of them lovely to his eyes.
Yet, something was missing to the traveller. Someone important to him.
Archaeon sighed. It had been months, years even, since he had thought of his last love. And how she was taken from him so violently. He took another drink, the alcohol not doing anything to ease his pain anymore.
Standing, he flicked a coin to the waitress, who smiled at him as he passes. He smiled back, not feeling like company anymore. The call of the city beckoned, along with a new sound. One that be had long since thought gone.
Still, it was somewhat familiar.

Archaeon, whistling innocently, walks into Market Square and, looking around to make sure no-one is watching, posts a badly-drawn sketch. The sketch is so bad, it may have been drawn by a blind child. Wearing boxing gloves. In the dark.

Archaeon walks off, laughing under his breathe.

Archaeon eased into the the worn seat. He signaled the waitress and ordered a pint of ale. As the girl turned to fetch the beer, Archaeon's eyes flickered, taking in all her beauty in a single pass. He smiled. He still had all his skills, even if they were a touch out of practice.
His ale arrived and he tossed a silver to the waitress, making her smile back. He didn't need to say anything, or leave a message at the bar. Simply being here was enough to let Lord Darius that he was interested.
Besides, he had just seen a Pixie flit past outside, and there was something about the way she held her gardening trowel that interested him...

A lone wanderer walks through the gates of Naerlan, dust falling off his cloak. He raises the brim of his hat slightly and looks down the street. People come and go, running their errands without any interest in him. He smiles faintly, remembering a time when his very name spoken aloud in a town would cause a stir. No, not anymore.
He walks slowly down the street, drinking in the scene. The men, the children, the women. Especially the women. He smiled at a young women carrying flowers past him. She managed only a small smile before hurrying on. He turned and watched her carry on. His instincts served him well, for she turned and look back at him before disappearing around a corner.
His feet started walking once more, following a route they hadn't taken in years. Before he could stop himself he had reached a spire in the middle of the town. A feeling of nostalgia washed over him as he looked upward at the peak.
He pushed the door open wide, hearing the familiar sounds of wine flowing and merryment being had. He sighed out loud as he walked up to the bar.
"Elvish wine, thanks" he asked.
The bartender didn't even look at him, just grabbed a glass and placed it on the bar.
As the wanderer raised the glass to his lip, he noticed an old friend sit down next to him.
"Darius. I wondered when you'd find out I got back into town." he said, not really wondering at all.
Darius smiled faintly before replying.
"With you, Archaeon, its always best to know where you are at all times"
