For as long as Adventures Unlimited has been online (4.5 years at the time of this posting, since December 1998), it has been supported solely with funds collected from the owners of the game. However, from time to time AU needs additional support to provide funds for server expenses, advertising budget; funds to maintain Adventures Unlimited online presence.

AU will never be a pay to play game, we will never require that you pay a fee to log on or give in game benefits for donations. Due to the licensing of the game from which AU is derived (Merc/Diku/Rom codebases) we are not allowed to ever charge to play the game. Even if we could charge for the game, it is highly unlikely that we would as this game is a pass time for us and is an endeavor in fun, not a business.
