January 2, 2006
- Farsight can now be dispelled and cancelled.
- Character birthdays are now more important. On that special day,
  characters will receive a damage bonus as well as a bonus on completed
  quests (normal - not mob kill, splinter or soul stones).

January 7, 2006
- The temple command now has an additional option called "reward". This option
  is only usable by those people of top rank with over 15,000 excess devotion
  points. It grants a special temple bonus to everyone from the same temple
  as the character using the command. Check the temple helpfile for more 
  information.
- The scan command now correctly displays (or doesn't display) mobiles that
  are behind a hidden exit.
- The push and drag commands no longer can be used to push items through
  hidden exits without doors.
- Quest giveup no longer resets the moblist timer incorrectly.
- Orbs of control and clan flags that are in a characters inventory will now
  no longer save through copyovers.
- The wedge command now checks appropriately for hammers and wedges for all
  three options.
- A couple of small changes to the outfit command were made. Outfit will no
  longer allow characters with a weapon sheathed to outfit another weapon.
  Mirrors obtained from the outfit command can no longer be auctioned.
- Tells sent to people with pk flags (pk,victim,loot,invader) now get
  stored in a buffer. The replay command can be used to retrieve the
  stored tells after the flags have worn off.
- A small typo was fixed in the foot sweep combination.
- The sneak affect will now be removed if you use say/sayto, ic/war or yell.

January 11, 2006
- A new spam filter has been added to reduce spam from battle. Check the 
  helpfile for specifics of what it blocks out.
- The moblist quest timer has been fixed to reset at the END of a completed
  moblist quest.
- The house editor has had a small error fixed in it.
- Shadowwalkers no longer vis when they speak in says or on channels.
- A bug with gold/silver on mobiles has been fixed - this was regarding the
  reduction in gold on mobs far below the killer's level.
- Typos were fixed in runesplit and runeforge.
- Eavesdrop no longer works in the OOC lounge.
- 10 repair skill typos were fixed.
- Engrave can now target specific items (i.e. 1.sword, 2.sword etc)
- Form no longer makes faulty 0 pound remainder ore.
- Getting struck by lightning can now be seen by everyone in the room.
- Holytouch no longer requires a target after combat has started.

January 11, 2006 (part II)
- Some bugs with the parry/dodge/shield block  messages being sent have been fixed.
- Weapon condition now has an effect on damage.
- The groups and info command have had a minor formatting change. Some of the 
  information in the command is about future projects - before you ask, no the
  staff has no comment on them.

January 17, 2006
- Nochannels now have a time associated with the flag. You can see how much
  time you have left on your nochannel by typing the command with no argument.
- The mobquest timer has been "fixed" yet again.
- Shopkeepers now go home when their shops are not open. The "S" is still visible
  in the store and the shopinfo sign will be displayed if a shop command is used.
- The examine command now reveals more information about the object with the 
  exception of containers, drink containers, corpses and money.
- Autospam should now save after quitting.
- Welcome to the NEW site! 

January 26, 2006
- The spell checker is now working again.
- Dream and city data should now auto save on copyover.
- Rings should now all be jewelry (with the exception of crafted ones).
- Ignore should now work correctly for the first time in its entire existence.

January 27, 2006
- The grats, newbie, and music channel should now work with ignore and show
  names instead of race titles. Using socials on music and grats will require
  targetting based on racetitle or name depending on if you have greeted the
  person or not (this part has not changed).
- Blind now gives a message if your victim is already blinded.
- The moblist quest timer has be reworked yet again - if yours appears to be
  screwed up, please contact the immortal staff and we will reset it for you.
- Armorsmiths can no longer make rings.
- The keep flag now works with smelting.
- Spectral sword now requires the caster to target a rune in their inventory
  to make it work.
- The tempered flag now gives a small bonus to damage in certain situations.
- The "You are sure bleeding" message has been added to autospam. 
- The message "You are injured and bleeding." will now appear if you have the
  autospam flag on if you are below 25% of your hit points.
- Nerve should dispense pk flags appropriately now.
- Some typos have been fixed.

February 5, 2006
- King's Castle has been removed from the land of Tharel. It
  has been replaced by the fabulous Eirenole Castle that was
  written by Misao. The levels are 45 to 60.
- The amount of liquid taken from a drink container is now
  dependent on size of the character instead of the liquid.
- The temple reward (see help TEMPLE_COMMAND) duration has
  been increased.
- The Naerlan government can now be allied (or hated) by clans
  using the associate command.
- Set royalty (for imms) now yields the proper pretitle ALL
  of the time.

February 15, 2006
- The levy timer has been fixed. 
- Engrave will no longer lower quality below 0 and will no longer
  damage equipment in the significant nature it used to.
- Pet kills of spirits will be sucked into soulstones now.
- Entangle should no longer work if you do not have the appropriate
  clan rank.
- Arresting someone should now stop the entire fight (not the just
  target).
- Invader flags that wear off in clan halls will no longer cause
  characters to be transferred out of the hall if they are in an 
  allied clan.
- The light bug might be fixed (log on/off).
- In order to obtain a temple rank beyond rank 6, characters must
  now receive approval from a higher ranking temple member. Please
  read help rank and approve for more information.

March 19, 2006
- Drop crash bug has been fixed.
- Players can no longer log off in a temple that does not match  
  their own.
- The pk log on timer will no longer prevent victims of pk from 
  attacking the aggressor.

March 31, 3006 (Jirah)
- Pluralization stuff fixed.  You should see no more stafves.
- All channels will now need to be toggled on before use.
- Osay may now be toggled on and off.
- Osay status will show on the whois command and the channels command.

April 1, 2006 (Jirah)
- A very simple profanity filter has been added for all channels.
- A small bug with skill failures for monks engaging in combat has been fixed.

April 8, 2006 (Jirah)
- The intel command has been added to aid in locating people throughout
  the land of Tharel.  See help INTEL for more information.
- The file skill for weaponsmiths will now produce spears correctly.
- Typos for the buff, exile, arrest, bank, and fine have been fixed.
- Osocial shortcuts will now work correctly in conjunction with the 
  Osay toggle.

May 6, 2006
- Pixies should no longer get hit with fly when landed at a healer. (J)
- Many typoes in tradeguild skills and the birthday message have been 
  fixed. (J)
- The intel and inventory commands have been switched on the command
  list. (J)
- Spectres will now emote differently that before (similar to 
  OoooOoooo). (J)
- Thieves and murderers spirit mobiles should no longer hit your
  coin pouch in combat. (J)
- The sharpen skill can now target weapons in inventory (i.e.
  sharpen 2.dagger). (J)
- The armor, shield and stoneskin affects will now reduce damage
  a little vs various types (see their specific helpfiles). (Y)
- The sanctuary spell reduces slightly less damage than before. (Y)
- Autokill has been added for characters level 10 and above. 
  See announcement board. (Y)
- Poison/plague/flamesphere should "finish you off" if you get to
  negative hps. (Y)
- Some more changes have been made to affect data, spells, and 
  groups - they are for upcoming code and we will not field questions
  regarding these issues.
- Safe rooms will no longer allow attacks (although we may change this
  again in the future). 
- A few typos in spells were fixed.
- Mobs who have already been defeated can no longer be killed again for
  an alignment change.
- Dirtkick, backstab, kick, zap, charge and throw can no longer target
  stunned targets.
- The Tekkit Hill bank now works.
- The chance to overhear introductions has been increased from 20% to 50%.
- Mobiles should now lose their hide/invis/sneak affects when stunned.
- Autokill should now work properly on all targetted mobiles in the room.
  Pets and secondary mobiles were affected by this bug.
- Statistics should no longer be able to be raised above 25.

May 10, 2006
- The lag from autokill has been cut in half. However, the murder command 
  still has the same amount of lag.
- The body part popping code has been removed. 
- PK Aggressors who die with the pk flag will now have the pk timer
  after death.
- A couple of typos were fixed in the new autokill code were fixed.
- Mental Toughness and Cloak of Divinity can now be canceled and
  dispelled.
- Fire breath now does damage first and then blinds and destroys
  equipment.

June 2, 2006
- Condition of items that load on mobiles will now vary on items that
  can be repaired. 
- Cost on repairable, non crafted items will vary proportionally with
  the condition of the item.
- Hidden mobiles should now lose the hide flag when they fight.
- Talismen are now configurable for arcane runes.
- Players will no longer be able to murder using autokill when 
  they are blind (or cannot see the disabled intended target).
- Mobiles with the undead flag will no longer *pop* spirits.
- Typoes were fixed in a variety of items.
- The area_only flag should now work for all objects in the area.
- Mass invisible should now function like invisible with regards
  to being detected by others.
- The double qp timer that goes off for entitlements will now
  grow larger as if it had been started over when a second player
  entitles. Thus there is no advantage to doing it either way.
- The pktrial timer will no longer give a message once unpkjoin has
  been used already.
- Fire/ice/earth shield can no longer be put on characters/mobiles with
  the corresponding resistance.
- Aedit can now only be used with the aedit command.

June 3, 2006
- Holylight now functions like farsight does while immortals use
  the automapper.
- Shopkeepers should no longer sell their regular equipment with
  a reduced condition.
- Poison, plague and flame sphere affects should now kill mobiles
  rather than leave them suffering.
- Spirits should now pop for the correct mobiles. Spirits will no
  longer pop for characters under level 10.
- The immortals have a new building tool.

June 7, 2006
- A murder/autokill crash bug has been fixed.
- One of the combat condition messages has been changed.
- The item condition bug should be fixed after one login by each
  character.

June 25, 2006
- Casters will now see themselves casting spells. 
- Spell boost from spellcraft are no longer visible to anyone other
  than the caster of the spell.
- Pets should no longer lose their charm flag after dying and healing
  fully.
- A small bug with city deposits has been fixed.
- Terminate will no longer work if you have pk flags.
- Spells targetting the caster and doing damage will now incapacitate
  the caster if the caster is reduced to less than 0 hps.
- The arcane spell group spells will now function correctly with
  arcane rune amulets.
- The subdual wear off messages have all been changed to defeat.
- Get/put/drop now give the correct messages for most cases of
  getting/putting/dropping ores.

July 1, 2006
- Idols pushed into clan halls will give quest point rewards 
  if the character's temple can join the clan that the hall 
  belongs to.

July 15, 2006
- Orbs of Control may no longer be smelted.
- When recovered, orbs of control now start a timer during which
  you must conquer the area to which they belong. That timer
  is continued until the clan flag is placed. If the timer
  lapses, the orb or clan flag will disentegrate and the 
  control orb will reset in the area.
- Dreams should now go to the correctly aligned individuals.
- Several (4) annoying little crash bugs were fixed.

July 30, 2006
- Direction sense will allow blinded characters a chance
  to see their surroundings.
- Blinded characters can see containers in their inventories as 
  well as potions and pills inside of containers.
- Blinded characters can use the seek command to location items
  lying on the ground near them. This command works in the dark
  too.
- Blinded characters can use "wear/wield weapon" to randomly arm
  a weapon in their inventory.
- Energy drain has been altered so that on a successful save,
  damage from the spell is cut in half. Damage for the spell has
  also been raised.
- The school command has been added to allow low level characters
  to return to the beginning of Survival Training.
- Some small typos have been fixed with the weather.
- The silent casting message is now silent(ish) to the caster.

August 13, 2006
- Healing rooms in temples now depend on rank. Thus temple members
  will have accelerated healing throughout their temple. Additionally
  this condition will make the healing at the temple healer the
  best in the temple. 
- Heal rate in all ranked rooms inside of temples will be reduced 
  to a rate similar to that in the rest of the temple. Be patient
  while we reduce these heal rates.
- Pets should now be able to go anywhere inside of temples.
- The religion command now contains statistics: 
    Power - This is a rank compared to other temples. If the temple
    is not high enough up on the list, its rank will be Insignificant.
    Also 3 percentages that represent the number of souls saved vs
    the total souls saved by all temples, offerings (gold) vs
    the total by other temples and sacrifices (items) vs the total
    by other temples.
- Sacrificing items inside of your temple will now help your temple
  statistics.
- The offer command has been added so that temple members can make
  offerings of gold at their temple master. 
- The invoke command has been added for rank 8 and higher in each
  temple. It will cause a power surge for the temple members of
  the invoked temple. Using this ability uses the resources that
  the temple has gathered (souls/gold/objects). A small asterisk
  will show when the invoke command may be used. Dark purple for
  minor, Grey for Major and Yellow for Ultimate.
- Major and Minor aspects have been added to the religion 
  screen. These will be updated as the staff has time.
- The religion command can now be used without the color code for
  god's names.
- Mob pathing should work correctly again.

August 20, 2006
- Souls produced by mobiles who are lower level than their killer are
  now more limited at lower levels. Thus the lower level the killer is,
  the smaller the range of mobiles that will produce a spirit.
- The clanpoints command has been added for clan leaders. This command
  will allow clans to take advantage of permanent clan point rewards by
  allowing the clan to purchase short term benefits for the clan with 
  them - see help clanpoints
- Temple bonus have received a slight damage upgrade.
- Immortals can now use the explore command in clan halls.
- Some typos and pluralization errors have been fixed.
- Ventriloquate has been fixed to work correctly for groups of people
  in a room.
- Emsay will now make you visible if you are sneaking when you use it.
- Sacrifices inside of temples can now be seen by everyone in the room.
- Subdue has been removed from the code as it has been replaced by the
  autokill code.

September 22, 2006
- The alignment system has been drastically altered. See help alignment
  for more information.
- The last 25 mobiles killed is now tracked, expect xps to go down if
  you kill the same mobile over and over.

September 24, 2006
- Bugfixes for the new alignment system and the get command.
- Pets now have a limit to how much gold they can carry.

October 8, 2006
- The overthrow command should now indicate the result of the action in 
  the final vote.
- Certain pieces of the rod may now be used by all players instead of just
  players in the pk system.

October 21, 2006
- Multiple changes for the quest this weekend.

November 5, 2006
- Bank deposits now automatically remove 5% tax to be put towards the Days
  of Redemption Jackpot.
- The account command now shows the Days of Redemption jackpot amount.

November 23, 2006
- Saves vs spells have changed to make it easier to get spells off against
  high save mobiles and players.
- The spec_nasty special program has been altered to reduce gold loss due 
  to level variation.

November 25, 2006
- The following spells have received upgrades:
    cure light, cure serious, cure critical, heal - better healing at high 
    levels, temple rank now affects spells - check help heal.
    
    demonfire, dispel evil/good - damage upgrade 
    earthquake - temple rank affects damage and damage upgrade
    burning hands, chill touch, colour spray, fireball, lightning bolt,
    shocking grasp - damage upgrade
    
- Magic missile now costs 5 mana for each extra missiles
- Flame sphere is now stopped from casting by the target being affected 
  by a flame sphere
- Locate object has been completely rewrite - see the helpfile for more
  information.

December 1, 2006
- Cause light, cause serious, cause critical and the harm spell have all
  been improved and their damage potential is now affected by temple rank 
  as well as level.
- Clerics affected by slow will no longer cast at normal casting rate.
- Powerstones can now be used in conjunction with magic missile.
