January 8, 2005
- New code for the Mega Quest was added. (Top Secret)

January 29. 2005
- Meteor swarm can now be used to begin battle BUT it 
  cannot be scribed any longer.
- The command overthrow has been fixed for clans.
- Mobs that have a path now will not move if they are
  sleeping.
- Mastering a language will now give a mastered message
  instead of a normal improvement message. Also, languages
  will now improve independent of level.
- People who are arrested or in the stocks should no longer
  be bothered by the city guards.
- Lore should no longer bleed in color.
- The persistent flag will now show up when hide is used on
  an object with the drop_perm flag.
- The palm command will now remove the persistent flag when it is
  used to palm a persistent object (like a blanket).
- Enemies should now hunt players that hit them with thrown items.
- Boulders will no longer lodge in bodies.
- If used against a player, thrown items should give out pk flags.

Note: We are still working on throw so be patient as we improve it.

February 3. 2005

- A nasty bug with the bank command was fixed.

February 13, 2005
- Crafted armor will now reduce damage in combat if it is hit.
- Some minor bugs and typos have been fixed.

March 15, 2005
- The jewelers trade guild is in and will be operable soon. 
  This tradeguild includes repair of jewelry items, creation
  of metal jewelry items, engraving, embedding of gems (with
  special properties), modifying items into jewelry subtypes, 
  and creation of some of the gems used with the infusion and
  instillation spell groups.
- The empower and attune skills have been added to the mage
  and myrmidon classes to aid in the configuration of powerstones
  and talismen (2 new jewelry subtypes - mana storage and rune
  storage ).
- Critical strikes misses have been fixed.
- Identify, lore and condition skills have all been altered a bit
  for high level jewelers.
- The myrmidon arcane spells have been altered to work with talismen.
- Racial vulnerabilities and resistances have been reduced to 
  affecting damage 25% in the code.
- Minerals now have properties when they are gems - these properties
  can only be discovered by talented jewelers and include rarity, 
  magical aptitude, resistances and vulnerabilities.
- The object targetting for many of the skills for the armorsmiths
  and weaponsmiths guilds have been fixed.

March 18, 2005
- Breaking windows shouldn't move rooms anymore.
- A saving error with objects and pits has been fixed (embed).
- Sylvan elves (and anyone else who is vulnerable to iron) cannot
  wear or pick up iron items any longer.
- Those who are vulnerable to iron will now take more damage in
  combat from iron weapons.
- A couple of typoes with the jeweler's tradeguild have been fixed.

March 19, 2005 
- A small bug that allowed for double affects to be placed on enchanted
  items has been fixed.
- Give/buy have been changed to accomodate iron vulnerability.
- Janitor mobs will no longer pick up blankets of tranquility, corpses,
  or furniture.
- Charmed mobs should no longer walk through doors without pass door on.
  Additionally they should not leave fights with their masters without
  fleeing any longer. 
- Polish, buff and resurface have been altered slightly.
- The who command no longer displays clan name or pk flags. All players
  show on the who list (not invisible immortals though) with their names
  (no more rtitles on the who list). The whois command still functions
  in the same manner.
- Webpage wholist output has been altered as outlined above.

March 20, 2005
- Tells now use people's names to target instead of race titles.
- The web wholist output has been altered.
- The whois command has been recoded. It will show race (whois race ),
  clan (whois clan ) and person (whois  or whois ).
- The OOC channel should now show everyone's name (except immortals) even if
  the person speaking is invisible or concealed.
- The whois command had a small targetting issue resolved.

March 26, 2005
- The who list will now show a person's rtitle and race in place of their 
  title if they are ungreeted.
- The OOC channel and the clan channel should now show emotes properly.
  (Immortals only on the OOC channel).
- A small amount of lag has been added to the pound and hammer commands.
- Failures while using shape now produce the correct "broken form"
- Engrave now works for armor and jewelry as well as weapons.

March 27, 2005
- The join command for the tradeguilds has had a couple of bugs fixed with it.
- The engrave command has had a couple of small message bugs fixed.
- The temple command for immortals has had clan name added to it.
- The info/group command has been changed slightly for targetted groups.
  The old command would just show spells and level they were attained at, 
  the revised command shows spell name, level attained, mana cost and
  proficiency level.

April 18, 2005
- A couple of small bugs with the revised tell command have
  been fixed.
- Some rather large memory issues have been resolved.
- Finger now has more information for immortals.
- Character logins now contain more information for immortals.
- Mob programs now have an option to check temple rank (Sainos).
- The fido special program has been altered to prevent corpse
  eating spirits.

April 24, 2005
- Some general bugs have been fixed with the jewelers tradeguild.
- Powerstones will now show up as powerstones in auction info,
  lore and identify information screens.
- Entitle should no longer be possible for people who are in 
  the government or have their sexuality too far out of whack.

May 8, 2005
- Gemcut's gem selection bug was fixed. 
- The maximum time for imprisonment has been lowered to 48 ticks.
- Login time has been added to wiznet logins.
- Auction info should now contain more information about jewelry
  and other items.
- The condition command should now contain more information about
  materials for those members of the jewelers guild at the rank
  of craftsman or above. (Previously it was Master or above)
- A new auto quest has been added. It is for characters above
  level 50 and its called a mob list. Please make sure to read
  the MOBLIST_QUEST help file prior to attempting a quest as this
  quest is available very rarely.

May 9, 2005
- A crash bug related to the new moblist quest code has been fixed.
- The quest reward for the mob list quest has been increased.
- Bragstat will now track the highest tier moblist quest you have
  completed.
- Immortals can now tell who is doing moblist quests vs just
  questing normally with the check command.

May 11, 2005
- Monk spirit eyes now has duration for its affects similar to other
  spell casters.
- Monks can no longer identify the location of people with the
  healing touch mantra.
- The pk justification timer now gives a warning with 15 ticks remaining
  in its count.
- Quest info and quest time have been reformatted to not be so lame.

May 15, 2005
- The reward for the moblist quest has been raised again.
- The quest timer for the moblist quest should now show accurately
  in quest time.
- The IC and WAR channel have been altered to require the use
  of a mirror to use and hear the channels. 
- The mirror has charges and only uses charges when the owner speaks 
  on the channel. 
- The mirrors also reveal the general location of people in the land
  of Tharel (help location_channel). The abbreviations are explained
  in the aforementioned helpfile. 
- Players lower than level 15 will need a mirror to speak or hear the 
  channels but their mirrors will not use charges.
- Mirrors have their own wear slot on the hip or "on the belt". Similar
  to symbols, only mirrors will be allowed in this slot (although mirrors
  can be restrung)
- New players will have a mirror in the "on the belt" wear slot upon
  creation.
- Mirrors will be for sale in Naerlan.

May 18, 2005
- Level 1 characters will now gain the experience required for 
  level 2 as well as the level when a level 1 character is subject 
  to copyover.
- Healers will now give low level characters more spells than 
  previously given automatically (yes there are some that are not
  available normally - no you can't have them at higher levels).
- Characters less than level 6 will now no longer lose experience
  for dying.
- New characters starting out will now begin with 50 hit points 
  instead of 20 (no we won't give everyone 30 extra hit points).

May 31, 2005
- Pets will no longer follow their owner out of the room if the
  pet is sleeping.
- Some spell messages have changed slightly.
- The infusion group of enchantment spells can now be used on 
  jewelry.

June 1, 2005
- The sleeping pet follow bug has been fixed.
- Turning war/ic channels off and on will no longer cost a mirror
  charge.
- The fry message for cooking was fixed.
- The numberize function has been altered to look correct for
  items over 100 and between *10 and *20 (so 110, 111, etc).
- Shadowwalkers now appear on the wholist on the website (matching
  the wholist on the mud).
- The empower messages were altered slightly.
- A small bug that didn't allow the infusion spells to be used for
  jewelry or armor was fixed.
- Everyone should now have the correct age listed in their score
  sheet. (Make sure you verify you are in the correct month of the 
  year when you check it.)
- A small weight bug was fixed with gold and silver.

June 4, 2005
- More age adjustments have been made for characters. 
- Birthdays should now actually be announced on the actual day.
- The fish caught using the fishing command have had their weights
  adjusted down.
- A small surprise has been added to fishing to enhance its use.
- Fish now have value and can be sold at food vendors.
- The small fish surprise (it wasn't) was made a bit smaller.

June 5, 2005
- Fishing prizes are now checked if they are limited items such
  as runes.
- Treasure values have gone up.
- Runes acquired from fishing will no longer appear with the 
  descriptions of treasures.

July 4, 2005
- The skill consecrate has been added for clerics. Check help
  consecrate for more information.
- Fishing rewards have changed slightly.
- The search skill has been bug fixed for lock levels on doors.
- Hamstring has had a small success bug removed from it.
- The fine command has had a small message error fixed in it.
- Divine wrath will no longer hit group members. We are considering
  changing most if not all of the area effect spells in this manner.
- The indefinite pronouns for rtitles have been bug fixed. This should
  affect glance, score, who, channels, rtitle and other commands.
- A ton of "I see" messages have been changed to "You see" for 
  consistency.

July 10, 2005
- Consecrate now has a little lag associated with it.
- The healing from consecrate has been scaled back a touch.
- The search command was tweaked just ever so slightly.
- Ruatani has received their clan skill (no I won't tell you what
  it is).
- The command hack has been added for chopping down plant walls.

August 10, 2005
- A new area has been added.

     Lvls: 15 to 25

  Thanks to all of the editors who worked on this area. Please
  take the time to congratulate Jozephon on his contribution to
  Tharel. It is his first area.

September 5, 2005
- The portal naming command is now available to mages who
  have the spell at 75% proficiency rather than 100%.
  (Due to lack of use)
- Autoobscure has been added so that people can obscure
  their temple mark without removing it.
- Desecrate and Immolate have been added for clan invaders.
  Read the help file and then invade a clan to try it out.
- The areagold command has been added for immortals.
- The shopwhere command has had its output moved to a buffer.

September 7, 2005
- New Area

  When you see Goro, make sure you congratulate him.
  Thanks to the editors for their quick response on
  this as well.
- Looking in windows should work correctly now.
- The placement code for pedestals (desecrate/immolate)
  has been altered a bit.
- The portal spell should now create the portal named
  by the command if you are proficient in the spell.
- Autoobscure should line up correctly.

September 10, 2005
- The command command now has a new buffer offered with 
  the "all" option to keep people from scrolling off
  while using it.
- The practice command with no argument now has a buffer
  for easier reading of the list.
- Several spells have had their damage adjusted (draconian
  and mind control spells come to mind). Too many to list.
- A great deal of background code was put in to support 
  some future changes.

September 13, 2005
- The bug in the immolate command has been fixed.

September 18, 2005
- The White Shrine has been added.
  Levels 85-95 by Misao 
  Please be sure to thank Misao for her hard work when you
  see her.
- Invader flags will no longer require justifications.
- The crash bug in repent was fixed.
- A small bug with crawl and climb was fixed.
- Immolate now distributes pedestals slightly differently.
- Some misspellings and typos were fixed.

September 19, 2005
- The final vestiges of High Tower and Olympus were finally
  removed from Tharel.

September 25, 2005
- The charm spell is now limited by your level, your proficiency 
  in the spell and by a little bit of luck.
- The order command will now cost 10 mana per usage.
- Quests are now limited to 100 per level from level 6 to 
  level 40. After level 40, there is no limit on the number
  of quests you can complete.
  
October 16, 2005
- Looting of player corpses for by trying to use their
  name to target restrings is no longer possible.
- Affect vulnerabilities and resistances should now 
  work more robustly. 
- Cure blindness has been revamped to use level differences
  to determine success. Additionally, it will now work
  on sunburst blind in some situations.
- Autoexamining of corpses should no longer happen when
  spirits are killed.
- The shopinfo command has been added. It can be used in
  the same room with shops.
- The detect invis/ invisibility changes as mentioned on 
  September 1 have been added. A note is posted on board 1
  detailing these changes.

October 19, 2005
- The affects on people who have lodged missiles in their bodies
  will now count down. Additionally, people with lodged missiles
  will not heal but will slowly die.
- The automapper has now been reconfigured to work with the new
  invis/detect invis code.
- Ventriloquate has been rewritten to be of better use on AU. 
  (Yes I broke down and rewrote it)

October 23, 2005
- Invisibility has been tweaked even further. Objects that give
  permanent invisibility or detect invisibility should now work 
  at the level of the user.  Racial detects should also now
  function at the level of the user as well.  Additionally,
  the percentages to see someone have been altered.
- The level that monks cast invisibility at has now been
  set at the level of the caster.
- The whois command has been entirely recoded. It can now be 
  used to only see one person at a time. It reveals the 
  target's name, race, racetitle, appearance and current
  channel status.  The appearance characteristics are limited
  to if the target is using a mirror and also if the user knows
  the target.
- The tell and reply commands will now no longer work when you 
  have pk flags.
- Drink containers now only fill other drink containers as much
  as they currently hold. They also can be emptied in this manner.
- The dislodge command now checks for iron missile weapons.
- A small exit bug has been fixed.
- The open and close commands have both had a very small amount 
  of lag added to them.
- A couple of the infusion spells had small bugs fixed.
  
October 23, 2005 (Part II)
- Invisibility/ Detect Invisiblity has been changed yet again.
  PCs can now always see invisible mobiles if they have detect
  invisibility.
- PCs with the detect invis affect will now automatically see
  all characters with the invisible affect if the level of the
  affect is lower than the affect of their detect.  If the 
  invisible affect level is higher than the detect level, the
  chance goes down by 3% per level difference.
- The tell and reply command now work if you have a dead flag.

October 30, 2005
- The new pkjoin limit is in (15 to 25) if you already have
  motivations in progress with the staff, you will still be 
  allowed to join outside of the limit.
- A message has been added to the leveling messages warning
  players from level 21 to 25 that they cannot pkjoin after
  level 25.
- Sleeping pets in a different room from their owner will no 
  longer beacon to a new location.
- Many recieves have been fixed. (receive now)
- The pk note announcements on board 5 can now be read by
  the aggressor, the victim and the staff. The notes now 
  contain more information as well.

November 8, 2005
- Loot flags will now generate pk notes along with information
  regarding the looting situation.

November 26, 2005
- The bug in immolate for when an area is no longer under the control
  of the clan that is specified in the pedestal has been fixed.
- The clanstatus command now shows all clan members (not just ones
  you can see).
- The clanstatus command no longer shows statistics for people in
  Independent clans.
- The kick skill now causes the user to get a pk flag if they initiate
  combat with it.
- The explore area command no longer works in clan halls.
- The campfire skill has been revised in the following ways:
    The keep flag will now work for those using the feed or start options.
    The feed and start options can now target 2.item, 3.item etc.
    The feed option now works for multiple pieces of wood. 
        i.e. campfire feed 3*wood (it will stop at an item if has a keep
        flag)
- Clan guards should no longer attack allies of clans if they have an 
  invader flag.
- The identify command now shows the correct time on item affects if they
  are limited (such as bless).
- Teleport should no longer teleport people into clan halls.
- Several typos were fixed.
- A small error in the invis/detect invis code was fixed.
- Dragging idols in clan halls now cause the dragger to get an invader 
  flag if they are not an ally of the clan.
- When logging off of one character and switching to another character, 
  5 minutes will now be required between logins. 
  Please use this time to get a snack. 

December 3, 2005
- Call lightning should now hit eligible clan enemies if attacked.
- Charm should now work again with items.
- Spells should now take into account the last attacker.
- Pkers who assist in a group should now get pk flags.
- Mobs that are marked stay area (this includes clan guards) should
  now wander home. 
- Clan guards now have a special program designed to augment their
  intelligence when dealing with invaders.
- Desecrated altars should disappear again.
- Campfires will now light up the room they are in.
- Charmies/pets will no longer follow their masters out of fights
  when they are fighting. They now flee when they are able.
- Emotes/says/channels etc. can now use a longer line length to
  allow for more detailed expression.
- Clanguards should no longer hunt outside of their clan halls.

December 4, 2005
- The saves given for bless have been changed.
- Pets do not beacon any longer when sleeping.
- The donate command has been rewritten to include 3 options:
  temple, clan and naerlan. The command sends items to your 
  temple if you do not choose an option.
- Donating to your clan now reduces item values by 25%.
- Items above level 15 cannot be donated to Naerlan (however those
  of you within the temple of Fjiorim can donate items to your
  temple above that level).
- A function was added to spit out the helpfiles to the webserver.
  These files are not accessible yet on the webpage but they will
  be soon.

December 10, 2005
- Spectral sword now has damage types on the sword according to the
  type of sword.
- The automapper will now show questmasters as Q.
- Characters will no longer be able to use gate, nexus, celestial path
  or hunt to get to spirits.
- Mobiles who are not sentinel should now move again.
- The pledge command should now work for allies and enemies godstones.
- Soulstones have been added. Members of temples over the level 10 may
  obtain one of these items for 50 quest points from their temple master.
  The item is worn as a floater and is used to collect souls. By souls, 
  we mean the spirits that "haunt" the land after their deaths. To claim
  a spirit, you must have the soulstone on when you kill the spirit. Each
  stone can hold 10 souls. Characters cannot claim souls that are more
  than 15 levels below them.

December 28, 2005
- The automapper no longer allows people to see through doors unless they
  have the farsight affect.
- A new command for manor owners has been added, escort. It aids the owner 
  of the manor in removing people from their manor if they have an invitation
  and will not leave.
- The petcall command has been added to call a character's pet to their 
  current location. This command is used in conjunction with the silver
  whistle that can now be purchased at the quest master for 250 quest 
  points. The whistle has 15 charges and cannot be recharged.
- Mob list quests can now be attempted every 25 hours.
- Kick can no longer target players outside of appropriate pk level range.
- Some soul stone messages have been fixed for grammar and typoes.
- Hidden people can no longer be seen by people outside of the room the
  character is hiding in.
- Campfires will no longer accept non wooden items for feeding (singular).
- Shopinfo now works even if the shop is closed.
- The wholist for the website has recieved a (hopefully) minor formatting
  change.
- The weather and wear commands have changed order in the command table.

December 30, 2005
- The scan command has been reformatted to be easier to read and use.
- Some small typoes have been fixed.

December 31, 2005
- The Schwartz Glacier has been added. This area is by Dmayrion so please
  give him a nice big thank you for his first area contribute on AU.

- Pets now save their location on log off even if they are not in the room
  with their owner.
- Pets now no longer recall when using word of recall if they are not in
  the same room with the owner or if they are sleeping.
