January 22, 2004 - The Mystery Manor has been added to Tharel. This area is the first from Anja and Arila so give them a nice BIG thank you when you see them. Also please thank Kiradus and the editing staff for putting in so much hard work into getting new areas ready to go in. It is time consuming to mob test, object balance, check mob programs and organize integration of the area into Tharel! - Mages now have a new spell, transmute. It comes in the creation group and can be used to change gold to silver or silver to gold. - The abandon command has been added so that people may choose to leave their clan on their own and enter into Loner. - The territory command has been made a bit more user friendly. - The account command will now show total number of conquers and defiles. - The clanstatus command (for leaders) will now show clanmembers total conquers and defiles. - The score command will now show total hero levels gained. March 13, 2004 - Conquering areas will now be more noticed by the general populace. - The explore command will now reveal if an orb is not in an area if the user has the direction sense skill and is in a clan. - Some new quest statistics are present in the account command. They include a quest completion percentage (attempt and complete a quest before this will become visible) and total quest points earned are shown. These statistics will only track from this day forward. - The word flawless has been replaced with the word mastered for skill percentages. February 1, 2004 - The initial body part code for necromancers has been added to the Main port. The changes will not be visible to players at this point. Code by Sainos April 19, 2004 - The portal skill has been rewritten and now has the commands absorb and portal associated with it. Please check help portal for more information. Absorb allows the user to memorize a location and then later, use the portal spell to return to that location. - Firewalk has been added for myrmidons. This skill allows its user to walk into campfires and emerge randomly from another campfire else where in Tharel. There must be at least 2 campfires in existence for this skill to work (no it doesn't work for campfires in temples or clanhalls). - Firescrye has been added for mages. A mage with a campfire present, an idol made by another mage, and a piece of bloodmoss to find out (see an image in the fire) of the location of the targetted individual. - Transport has been added as a means for transporting idols through portals (especially during Days of Redemptions). Hopefully, this command will expand the locations where idols can be located making DoR more fun :) - Whittle now only works on people in the same room as the user. - Campfire now has a limit to the length of time it will last. So at some point when feeding wood to it, the limit is reached and will not progress past that. April 25, 2004 - Clan members can now decide to vote and overthrow their clan leaders without immortal intervention. (check the overthrow help file for more information). - Drink containers can now be pour out over fires. Syntax: pourfire Be careful! - A new command has been added called bragstat. It shows mob kills and deaths by alignment as well as the quest statistics and conquering statistics. - Account no longer shows the quest and conquering statistics. - Clan points will now only give 10 dp per point. With the new heat system for Days of Redemption it is necessary to reduce the value of these points as a much greater number is acquired during the competition. - Clanpower has been adjusted slightly. - Fireplaces will now have to be cleaned periodically and after a fire is put out with a liquid poured onto it. - A new option has been added to campfire - clean. You need a brush to use it and it allows the user to clean a fireplace. May 2, 2004
