Changes 

December 29, 2003
- Guard reset in clan halls has been slowed down.
- Notes on the bug board cannot be posted to all any longer.
- A new command has been added that will allow players to divide
  how their gold is deposited into their personal, clan and the
  city of Naerlan's account. The syntax is as follows:
  bank   
  The default percentages for the bank command are shown in
  the account command.
- A new variable has been added to track the amount of gold deposited
  into a player's clan account. This number is available to the player
  in the account command.
- The clanstatus command now includes clan deposits for leaders.

December 17, 2003

- People who are in jail or the stocks can now use the commands
  osay and speak.
- The bail command now reveals the length of time a person is imprisoned
  in the stocks. They are still NOT eligible for bail.
- Resting people who are in the stocks now appear like they are in 
  the stocks.
- The stormorder command has undergone a couple of minor revisions.

December 14, 2003

- Styrian's clan skill is done. It is called tornado and its a spell.
  (I will explain more in a note to the clan).
- Several typos were fixed in the mayor code.
- The sheathing code has been adjusted to be a little more friendly 
  to players already in the stocks. Also the delays in arresting should
  be increased slightly.
- The wear slot order has been reworked slightly again.
- The defile command now gives a reward for defiling clan flags. The
  conquer command quest point reward has been raised slightly and the
  devotion point reward has been lowered slightly.

December 4, 2003

- A new options has been added for the territory command. Territory
  summary. It is available to everyone and reveals information about
  who has the most areas, most rooms and how much gold they will
  receive when calculating upkeep.
- A crash bug for arrest was fixed.
- Upkeep costs for clans (plus bonuses for conquered areas) are still
  being adjusted and have changed slightly.

November 30, 2003

- The arrest code has been updated to prevent repeat arresting. The
  code will now only allow someone to be arrested 1x/2days of real
  time to prevent people from being thrown in jail for consecutive
  sentences.

November 28, 2003

- A brand spanking new area has been added. It is called Fireblast
  Mountains and was originally built by Emine however she did not 
  finish it and Zeke volunteered to finish it. So three cheers for
  Zeke and the hard working mob and room editing staff for getting
  this area done and on the main mud finally!  
  Area level range is 70-90

November 26, 2003

- The territory command has changed a bit. The list of areas is now
  numbered. The option for territory clan no longer shows room names
  where flags are located except to leaders.
- Clan spells now have better checks for usage. (mostly internal change)
- You can no longer push/drag clan flags.
- A memory leak was fixed in the multiple arguments function for give/
  put and get.
- Oload and mload now have a couple of verifying messages for the 
  immortal who is using the command (Immortal)

November 24, 2003

- The territory command has been changed to allow loners, outcasts and
  the city government (Naerlan) to see which areas can be conquered.
  These organizations can still only defile flags.
- The territory command should be able to be used while sleeping.
- Direction Sense should now display who controls an area.
- Area control orbs should no longer be able to be stored in pits or
  containers.

November 22, 2003

- Area conquering for clans has been added. Along with this new code comes
  3 new commands, defile, claim, conquer. A help file has been made for 
  this new code (help conquer). Please read the help file prior to asking
  questions.
- The areas will need configuration prior to the conquering code becoming
  active. Notification will occur on board 1.
- Auction now has a maximum starting bid of 10,000 gold.

November 15, 2003

- Spectral edge will now require that a rune be held in order to use it
  on a weapon.
- A small sharpen bug was fixed when a weapon would get a razor flag without
  a sharp flag.
- Runes now have sizes.
- The skill runesplit is now available for myrmidons. This skill will allow
  myrmidons to split runes into smaller pieces and use those pieces for the
  various arcane spells.
- The skill runeforge is now available for myrmidons. This skill allows
  myrmidons to make arcane runes from the random treasures that are 
  acquired off of mobiles.
- The arcane spells in the runic group for myrmidons have been rewritten
  to take into account the size characteristic of runes. Also runeblading
  cannot be done with runes that are smaller than medium in size.

October 28,2003
- Some bug fixes were added in to address issues with the arrest/
  imprisonment code.
- A small amount of lag has been added to sneak, hide and shadowwalk
- (Immortals) The rstat command has changes slightly with the addition
  of room programs, clans, temples, owners and named exit flags.
- (Immortals) Keys can now be removed from exits by setting the key
  vnum to 0.
- Monks will now stop fighting appropriately when they are subdueing
  an opponent.

October 19,2003
- Kick should auto target in combat again.
- The weapon specialization in score should display correctly now.
- The commands command has been rewritten to make it easier to navigate.

October 18, 2003
- Kick now has some options available for hit locations and messages.
  Head, face, body, stomach, leg and a special one for immortals.
- Score will now show your weapon specialization if you are a warrior
  and actually have one. Also wearing a weapon you are specialized in
  will give a new message.
- Looking at a character will now produce the same equipment order as 
  the revised equipment command.
- The petstat commands has been added to reveal your pet's information
  including all name, short description, long description, gold, silver
  and affects.
- A new prompt variable %p has been added. It shows the percentage of
  pet hitpoints.

October 17, 2003
- Fixed another bug in starburst.
- The equipment command has been reordered for easier reading (should make 
  more sense now).

October 16, 2003
- Guards will now wake people before warning them so that people don't 
  get thrown in jail for wearing their weapons to sleep.
- Mischief has recieved a new clanskill, starburst.
- Faerie fire now prevents people from casting invis on themselves,
  sneaking, hiding or shadowwalking.
- Faerie fog can now reveal shadowwalkers (sorry Sophism).
- People who are in jail or the stocks can now wake and pray (they could
  actually stand before so its not much of a gain for the wake bit). If you 
  spam pray, expect to lose it.

October 14, 2003
- Required weapon sheathing can now be toggled on and off by the Mayor of
  Naerlan using the 'sheathing naerlan' command. The Naerlan Enforcers, 
  patrol guards and gate guards will give three warnings prior to attacking
  or throwing the offending character into the stocks. If you want to know
  if sheathing of your weapon is required just check the laws at any of the
  locations where you can normally view them.

October 12, 2003
- The White Lotus Temple has been removed permanently.
- Dragon Tower is being replaced by Nerezza.

- Three new areas have been added to Tharel.
    Illianthoren Pass for levels 10 30 by Zeke (big applause for Zeke's first
    area for AU *yay gooooooo Zeke!!)

    Valeda for levels 25 45 by Tzani and
    Nerezza for levels 5 15 by Tzani (yay! Tzani for many countless hours of
    hard work on AU and lots n lots of areas!!! wooo)

October 11, 2003
- Exile has been added for the mayor. The guards in the city will be enforcing the
  exile by either putting an offending player in jail, throwing them out of town, 
  attacking them, or ignoring them (can't have them notice all of the time). At 
  any rate, don't get exiled by the Mayor :)

October 9, 2003
- Arrest should now make people who are resting stand if they are
  arrested.
- Sleep now has a failure message.

October 8, 2003
- Gaining the entitlement rank of Citizen is now regulated by the 
  Deputy Mayor. The Deputy Mayor can now make requirements
  for new citizens to fulfill prior to attaining the rank of citizen
  from the Herald. Thus you must fulfill those requirements
  prior to attaining the rank of citizen. New commands include:
  endorse - The command the Deputy Mayor uses to endorse a candidate.
  guidelines - Used by DM to edit the requirements for citizenship.
  citizenship - Used by candidates to view what the current requirements
  for citizenship are. You can only use this command in the same locations

October 7, 2003

- Quaestors will now put you in jail now instead of just allowing a 
  simple bribe to get out, bail must be used or the sentence must be
  served.
- Some minor bugs have been fixed.

October 5, 2003
- The chances for a weapon to go dull during combat have been adjusted
  slightly.
- The Mayor now has the ability to fine people in Naerlan.
- The crawl command will no longer allow movement if you are out of move.
- Pets can no longer crawl.

August 18, 2003
- The immortal staff will finally have a good way of tracking houses and 
  manor as the house/manor olc editor is finished (well mostly). As the staff
  integrates this editor and enters houses and manors into the database (houses
  will be first on the agenda), we will let ownership know and the houseinfo
  command will become a way for the playerbase to check the statistics of
  their house-manors (guards and heal rate) without having to ask the staff.
  This editor will also make it much easier for the staff to identify vacant
  housing and auction when appropriate. 

August 12, 2003
- The Sheriff has two new commands. Arrest and imprison. The arrest command
  only works in the jurisdiction of Naerlan and is used by the Sheriff to 
  arrest individuals breaking the law and allows the Sheriff to transport
  the arrested individual to either jail or the stocks (located on Main
  Street in Naerlan). Once at the stocks or the jail the Sheriff can use the
  imprison command to lock up the individual who was arrested.
- The bail command has been added so that people who have been arrested and
  stuck in jail (not the stocks) can be bailed out for a fee. Characters 
  cannot bail themselves out.
- The free command has been added so that the Mayor can pardon people who
  are in the jail or the stocks.
- The Naerlan jail has been rebuilt by Kiradus (location is the same).
- People who are in jail or the stocks will now be seen on the who list 
  with a flag of [JAIL].
- People in jail, the stocks or under arrest are limited in their commands.
- Please read all the help files and experience the code in action prior to 
  critiquing or commenting on this code so that you can provide an
  intelligent informed opinion.

BUGFIX REPORT
- A small bug with campfire was fixed.
- A small typo with closing objects was fixed.
- Messages for the bug and typo commands were changed to read board 3 instead
  of 5.
- From now on when gating, pets will NOT travel with their master if they
  are sleeping or fighting.
- A small typo in the quest code was fixed.

July 27, 2003
- Mobiles have gotten smarter so watch out! Basically there is new code which
  will makes mobiles more capable of picking out temple, race, entitlement
  or class and aggressing against those people. The hope is that this code
  will bring more depth to mobiles and more life to AU. You will not see the
  effects of this code immediately as it will take time for the builders to
  add it into their areas (new and old).
- Minor typos and bugs fixes went in.

- The crawl command has been added
  so that large races can crawl
  through smaller exits. As a side
  note you can crawl anywhere.
- Small, medium, large and fly
  exit types have been added.
- Create rose now has color options.

- The automatic titles gained when
  making a new character have been
  changed to "the " 
- Two light based damage messages
  have been added.
- Protection from neutral has been
  added for mobiles.
- A couple messages changed for 
  consider and kill. (Nonpk vs pk)

- Failed sharpens will now reduce
  condition and make weapons dull.
  Read help sharpen for more info.
- Myrmidons have a new spell called
  spectral edge. It reduces the 
  chance of a bladed weapon dulling.
- Silent Casting is now toggleable.
- Immortals will now have an RP flag
  on the who list if they are 
  available for roleplay.

- Edged weapons will now become
  more dull in combat, gradually
  losing the razor and sharp flag

- The Mayor can now withdraw funds
  from the city's accounts to do 
  upgrades.
- Anyone can now deposit to the
  city of Naerlan's bank account
  by using the city option for 
  depositing. (read help bank)
- The minimum level to be taxed
  has been lowered from level 20
  to level 15.

- The yell command now only works

Part 1
- New commands for taxation have
  been added. Check help mayor_power

- The account command has been
  altered to show your taxes.

- The taxation code will be 
  altered as we debug it and 
  expand on it. Additionally
  look for more justice commands
  for the sheriff in the near future.

New Changes May 3, 2003

- The basic city editor has been 
  added. What this means is
  1. The Mayor will be able to specify
  laws for the city of Naerlan using 
  an editor similar to the note editor.
  2. The laws will be visible to players
  at different locations around the city
  of Naerlan using the laws command.
- The clock item type has been added.
  Basically these will be NONWEARABLE
  clocks that will send an echo to 
  the entire area they are in every
  ic hour. (Atropos has donated one
  to Aliuna - I will post when it is
  built). Clocks will be limited to
  one per area (to eliminate spam) -
  they will not be available for houses
  although may be at a later date.

Note: I am now back to work so expect
      more changes soon.

- The City of Aliuna was added as a
  replacement for New Thalos. Its a HUGE
  city by Tzaniakya (GREAT WORK!)
  Thanks to the editors who worked on
  this area as well!

New Changes February 18, 2003

- The gold formula for killing mobs has
  been changed from affecting mobiles that
  are 15 levels below to mobs that are
  30 levels below the killer's level.
  Additionally the formula has been
  changed to yield slightly more gold.
- Sacrificing godstones will now actually
  yield a devotion point reward if the god
  stone is from an enemy temple.

New Changes February 16, 2003

- Fixed a get/gold bug with containers.
- Fixed a small bug with the motivation
  command.
- Fixed a hugely annoying bug with bestow
  and maxxed out temple members.
- Quest code for god stones and
  ornaments (avatars) has been added.
- The religion command now shows which
  god stone is associated with which temple.
- Sacrificing of a ornament or godstone
  will bring a reward if it is from an 
  enemy temple or a penalty for an allied
  temple or your own temple.
- Using the command pledge at your temple 
  master will allow you to get rewards for
  ornaments or godstones from your temple or 
  an allied temple.
*Note: Be patient all of the god stones will 
       need to be set in the religion files.
- A couple immortal commands changes level.
  (wiznet)
- Mobiles that are lower level will now not
  yield so much gold to characters who are
  15 levels or more above the mobile's level.
- The worn flag should no longer appear on 
  items retrieved from a non player character's
  corpse.

- Fixed a crash bug with subdue, it 
  will continue to be adjusted.

- Avatars have now been added to temples.
  These will be explaineed later.
- Tithe, repent, cleanse, and upgrade
  should now only be usable if you are
  in the RIGHT temple.
- Associate now will not allow clans
  to declare Loner/Outcast/Immortal and
  Naerlan clans as allies etc.

New Changes January 25, 2003

- The "rod" now reveals its power a
  bit more readily (just wait you 
  will know).
- Fixed the get bug that made certain
  objects act like pc corpses.
- Coded a command to help with testing.
- Clan allies can now enter clan halls
  without fear of being tagged as an 
  invader. Be careful with this, 
  treachery abounds!
- A Suprise feature has been added!
  Don't ask, you will know it when you
  see it.

New Changes January 22, 2003

- All immortals will now show up as 
  GOD in their race on the who list.
- The associate command has been
  created for clan leaders. Please
  read the help file.
- Alliances, Indifferences, Distrust
  and Hatreds have been added to the
  clan files. Clan leaders can set 
  these with the associate command.
  Please note these fields have no
  active code behind them so far BUT
  they can provide your clan with 
  consistent current information
  about which clans are friends/enemies
  etc.

- The cleanse command has been added
  for people with a temple. (read
  the help file).
- Nosummon will now toggle on every
  time you log on.
- Clan members that die will now 
  repop in their morgue room instead
  of their gallery.

  finally been added to the world.

- Seluril has coded a nice command for immortals 
  - Thanks Seluril
- Autorefuse no longer works against NPCs.
- You will now need detect magic to see
  certain auras on players and mobiles.
- The code for part of the Rod is in, more will
  be revealed in the quest this weekend.
